present Barbara Proud, a legendary, award-winning LGBTQ+ artist and civil rights champion. This unique JPF Keynote Speaker program welcomes LGBTQ+ friends and allies, especially families and youth new to discovering their identities and seeking acceptance, friendship, and empowerment.
B. Proud will also participate in JPF on Saturday, June 10, from 10 AM to 2 PM.
B. Proud Celebrates LGBTQ+ life with uplifting stories of enduring love, understanding, hope,
transcendence, and dreams come true. Her audiences witness positive role models to open hearts and minds to a community deserving of compassion, respect, and fundamental human rights. Her photography exhibitions - First Comes Love and Transcending Love - include stories and films.
B. Proud is a photographer, filmmaker, author, and celebrated LGBTQ+ advocate.
President Obama invited B. Proud to the White House for an LGBTQ+ celebration, and Edith S. (Edie) Windsor (chief plaintiff in United States v. Windsor) wrote the forward for B. Proud's First Comes Love book. Career Highlights include photographing Lady Gaga and President Obama on the same day!
